In Pennsylvania, sexual activity between someone under 16 years old and someone four or more years older is statutory rape.

The relationship between a teenager and an older teen or young adult can quickly become imbalanced. After all, the ability to drive and earn money gives the older person a lot more power in a relationship.

	Discussion Tip: Be prepared for resistance because many teens don't understand statutory rape laws. Try discussing it from a different angle-ask what motivates an older person to date someone younger. Talk through the importance of healthy relationships that are built on equality.
